Suncheon Nagan Eupseong Fortress is located at Jeollanam-do, Suncheon-si, Nagan-myeon, Chungmin-gil 30.
Suncheon Nagan Eupseong Fortress has been designated as Korea's first historical landmark.
It has lived through ever since the era of the Three States of Korea.

The walls that surround the fortress had been built during the Chosun dynasty in 1397, when Japan invaded Korea.
After 300 years around 1626, it was renovated and has since then been protecting the city for around 700 years.
Furthermore, CNN chose the fortress as one of the 16 places to visit around the world,
proving that Suncheon Nagan Eupseong Fortress is one of the most representative areas of South Korea.

Around 228 people currently live at Nagan Eupseong.
As you can see in the photo above, some make their living by farming.
This is a place where you can look at the lives of people at this traditional setting, as well as experience some of it yourself.

Also, the fortress is a popular shooting spot for numerous Korean films and dramas.
A popular Korean drama Daejangeum and most recently, 광해 Masquerade was filmed here.
It would be quite fun to spot the places that you've seen in films or dramas!
At Nagan Eupseong, there are numerous programs available.
Festivals, shows, events are held regularly and you can also use traditional facilities to experience the old days.
