Andong Hahoe folk village is located at Gyeongsangbuk-do, Andong-si, Pungcheon-myeon, Hahoejongga-gil, 40.
Andong Hahoe folk village was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage site.
That means that the village is a very valuable part of Korean culture.

If you ask about Andong Hahoe folk village to Koreans,
the first thing that they will probably talk about are Hahoe masks.
Hahoe masks are traditional Korean masks that have been acknowledged by scholars as one of the best masks in the world. However, unfortunately, 3 masks have been lost and only 9 are still kept to this day.

Hahoe village got its name because the Nakdong River surrounds the village in a big 'S' shape.
And accordingly, the masks of this village have been named Hahoe masks.

The museum of the village displays all sorts of different masks and their history.
Also, the last picture is a scene of Hahoe Pyolshingut Mask Dance.
Hahoe Pyolshingut Mask Dance is a cultural act that is the oldest mask dance of Korea.
It is listed as the 69th important intangible cultural heritage of Korea.
Furthermore, there are over a dozen different cultural programs that you can participate in.
Programs are related to rituals, folklore, education and culture.
