Incheon Sorae port is one of the closest places to go to have a look at the ocean from Seoul.
As summer is getting closer and closer, Sorae port is a great option to enjoy the cool ocean breeze.

The most famous spot of Sorae port is definitely its fishery market.
Unlike many other fishery markets in Korea, Sorae fishery market has implemented a water purification system and run the whole market in a very orderly way.

Many customers visit Sorae port for fermented fish to use when making Kimchi!

Other than fermented fish, Sorae fishery market has all sorts of seafood such as clams, crab, etc.
Which ever seafood you can imagine, it will probably be at the market.

Sorae port is not just about is fishery market.
This is the Sorae history museum, where you can have a glance at what the area has gone through.
Sorae port and its railroad was first made by Japanese who wanted to take away salt and other goods to Japan.
If you wonder how the current Sorae port has been formed, please visit this museum.

This is the old railroad and train of Sorae.
It was on the verge of being torn down, but the local residents showed strong opposition and decided to keep the railroad, as an identity of Sorae port.
Now, it has been transformed in to a park-like feature.

Lastly, there is the Sorae Wetland Park.
Old brine warehouses were used to create an exhibition area and old salt ponds have become a learning center.
If you are missing the ocean and waters, Sorae port is the place to go to!
